Hey!Say!JUMP Yell Fiercly At Haruko Volleyball Tournament
Johnny’s Hey!Say!JUMP appeared in the opening ceremony of the 39th Spring High School Volleyball Tournament at Tokyo’s Yoyogi National Gymnasium earlier today. In front of an audience of 10,000 and together with 40 members of Johnny’s Jr. they performed the tournament’s image song Chance to Change, wearing long pink and silver jackets and red headbands.
Hey!Say!JUMP serve as special supporters in Fuji TV’s coverage of the tournament. In the past Johnny’s groups V6, Arashi and NEWS filled that position. Yabu Kota (18) said: “We’re cheering for High School students of the same generation [as ourselves]. By giving our support we want to increase the love for volleyball as much as we can.” Yamada Ryosuke (14) said: “Following in the footsteps of our senpais means a lot of pressure but also great honour. We’ll do all the best we can. We sang as if we were fighting fot the same thing as the players.” Arioka Daiki (16) added: “In chasing their dreams they’re similar to us. We’ll support them with all our power.”
